Red Poppy Festival Celebration

Evening Entertainment on the Georgetown Square

After a day of playing, visiting, browsing, and shopping, Red Poppy Festival “goers” gathered for a live concert and street dance featuring Mark Chesnutt. Austin Avenue on the west side of the Georgetown Square and 8th Street on the south side of the square filled with camp chairs while the south and west sides of the Square grounds filled with blankets as families and friends gathered to enjoy the free entertainment.

The cool spring air and rich Georgetown sunset provided a welcoming setting as over 15,000 people of all ages turned out for this annual event.  Evenings like this are definite reminders that Georgetown is a great community!
