Learning To “Lead With Heart” At 2nd Annual Seniors Real Estate Institute’s Legacy Conference

I just returned from an amazing two days with my fellow Certified Senior Housing Professionals at the 2nd annual Seniors Real Estate Institute’s exclusive Legacy Conference, held at Grapevine TX (in the Dallas/Fort Worth/Dallas area) on Oct. 19th and 20th. The conference theme was “Lead with Heart” — all about balancing care and candor in serving our clients.

It was a great two days interacting with CSHPs (Certified Senior Housing Professionals) from around the country. I served on the conference advisory team to plan the conference;| .

As CSHPs we bring more than our business sense to our senior clients — we serve with compassion and caring, building relationships with the seniors and their families as we offer more comprehensive services than traditional real estate agents.

Our “Lead with Heart” General Sessions were spearheaded by Nikki Buckelew, founder and CEO of Seniors Real Estate Institute. The Keynote speaker was Rick Vandermyden, an inspiring leadership expert and executive coach with John Maxwell, and Keller Williams.

During the two-day program, Expert Panels featured seniors who have transitioned to senior independent living communities and Certified Senior Housing Professionals who shared about their work with clients and their families.  Roundtable Discussions included strategies for serving seniors, and building relationships with the senior industry in our communities.

I’m back and inspired at VirginiaValuesYou.com and putting everything I learned for Georgetown seniors, and working on my next round of seminars for 2017. Find out more about Georgetown, its attractions, its residents and its home ownership opportunities at www.VirginiaValuesYou.com.
