The Legacy at Georgetown is hosting their 1st Annual Legacy of Trees for the benefit Honor Flight Austin, whose mission is “to transport veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices and return them home to their families and loved ones.” It is a wonderful tribute to our “greatest generation,” including those living in Georgetown and surrounding communities.
Local businesses have donated and decorated trees that are on display at The Legacy of Georgetown now through December 4, 2014. I donated and decorated a tree that I named “Christmas Memories.”
On Thursday, December 4, 2014 there will be a Legacy of Trees Gala and Silent Auction. Starting at 5:30 with light hors d’oeuvres and festive cocktails, the Silent Auction will include all of the trees on display. I urge you to bid early and generously for this wonderful cause on behalf of Honor Flight Austin.
Located adjacent to Sun City and Scott & White Medical Clinic, The Legacy at Georgetown is bringing something truly unique to the community. Where independence thrives and yet assistance is only a call away.
If you’d like to attend the Legacy of Trees Gala, please contact me no later than Tuesday, December 2, 2014 and I will gladly reserve your place.
