Over 100 attendees packed the McKinney Christian Ministry Center for our informative seminar, Aging in Place Resources and Support. A big thank you to our esteemed panelists from Visiting Angels, Golden Home Management, ComForCare Home Care, Silverado Hospice, and Enhabit Home Health & Hospice for sharing their expertise!

The seminar delved into the many options available for seniors who wish to remain independent and comfortable in their own homes. Here are some key takeaways:

  • Planning is Key: Discussions highlighted the importance of proactive planning for aging in place. This includes considering potential modifications for the home, exploring non-medical and medical in-home care services, and discussing end-of-life wishes with loved ones.
  • A Network of Support: The panelists emphasized the vast array of resources available to seniors. From home safety assessments to companionship services, housekeeping, and even hospice care, there are options to address a wide range of needs.
  • Understanding Different Types of Care– From home care to home health and hospice, our panelists explained the differences between the types of care you can receive in your home and questions you should consider when meeting with agencies and providers.
