Georgetown Seniors Learn The Differences Between Decluttering vs Downsizing

Like many seniors, you may think there’s no difference between decluttering and downsizing. On Thursday, April 13 almost 100 Georgetown seniors joined us for a seminar that made the distinctions very clear as we discussed “Decluttering vs Downsizing.” It was our largest audience ever in the six years we have presented seminars, either in person or online.

Please watch our Youtube video to learn:

  • Specific tips for decluttering, including dealing with unlimited collections of pictures.
  • Strategies for confronting the psychological roadblocks that prevent so many of us from overcoming emotions while sifting through years of clutter.
  • How the downsizing process works and the value of coordinated, high-quality services throughout
  • When to let go of what no longer serves you and identify the items worth keeping so that you can focus on living in the present.

Use what you learn to seize the moment now and turn challenges into opportunities. Secure your legacy to family and friends while moving forward.

The 2023 Seniors Living Smarter Seminar Series has been designed to educate, equip, and inspire you to be prepared to face these dilemmas and live your life to the fullest.
