Another compelling factor was all the email and unsolicited phone calls we’ve been receiving from scammers.
That’s why our May 21 free Seniors Living Smarter Virtual Seminar addressed this timely topic, “Becoming More Aware of the Threats Around You Will Keep You Safer”. Close to 50 seniors attended from the comfort and safety of their own homes via laptop, tablet or smartphone to receive timely advice and suggestions about maintaining personal safety while at home or out and about from Expert Panelists.
Founder and host of the Seniors Living Smarter Webinars, Virginia Lazenby moderated the 90-minute program and Georgetown Police Community Engagement Lieutenant Bert Witcher and Officer Delta Jolly provided valuable insights about awareness of threats and emerging scams both online and by phone.
