The Creative Playscape
Two extremely popular venues are the Creative Playscape and the Outdoor Play Pool at the Georgetown Recreation Center. The playscape offers a wide variety of activities which can accommodate children of varying ages. Plus, you can learn about the history of Georgetown. Toddlers to teens and grandparents will enjoy splashing around and being splashed in the well-designed play pool offering a variety of activities from the gently sloped entry for toddlers to the long tube slides for those older rascals.
San Gabriel Park offers a lovely setting for family picnics or strolling along the San Gabriel River and watching the antics of the ducks.
All Things Kids on the historic Square is more than just a great place for shopping for unique, quality toys and classics of children’s literature — it also invites children to use their imaginations in the Play Zone and Arts & Crafts Room. For older children, check out the exceptional summer classes including Lego Robotics, Creative Thinking, I Can Do That! – all promoting learning through play. Want to enjoy a special dinner at one of Georgetown’s restaurants with your children? Check out Date Night at All Things Kids. So we’re stretching “date night” but grandparents and parents deserve their special time together in Georgetown.
