When my good friend, Beth Acton, Business Consultant for First American Title, encouraged me to apply to The Platinum Top 50 Awards Program of Austin, I didn’t know anything about the program. I found out that The Platinum Top 50 annually recognizes fifty residential REALTORS® from the Austin area for their outstanding achievements in: sales, education, industry participation and civic leadership. Often referred to as the most successful and well-rounded REALTORS®, Platinum Top 50 Winners exemplify: initiative, involvement, success, and philanthropy.
Nominees were recognized at The Platinum Top 50 Black & White Party held at Lakeway Resort on Lake Travis. It was a very festive occasion and a genuine honor to be considered among the top professionals in our region.
I owe this recognition to the support of my management at ERA Colonial Real Estate in Georgetown, and my Virginia Values You team including Linda Oosterwijk and Jennifer Bollman.
Being recognized for sales, education, and industry participation is gratifying. But it’s the civic leadership category that gratifies me most because I’m committed to giving back to my community in many ways.
Currently I am serving on The City of Georgetown, Commission on Aging; The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, Executive Board of Directors, and Vice-Chair Education; Partners in Education, Board of Directors; and Coordinator, Pumpkin Patch for San Gabriel Presbyterian Church.
Supporting community causes, I participated in the MDA Lock-Up and raised money to send two children to MDA Summer Camp, and at my annual client appreciation event, The Virginia Values You Friends & Family Fall Festival, we collected $133 in cash and 66 pounds of food, which we delivered to The Caring Place in Georgetown.
Best of all, I have earned this honor doing what I enjoy most, helping many old friends and new neighbors here in Georgetown, TX.
