Downsizing Made Easy Seminar Was “A Gift To The Community!”

VirginiaLazenby-23To help Georgetown seniors and their families navigate the challenges of “downsizing” to a smaller residence, I presented a free seminar, “Downsizing Made Easy” at Georgetown Public Library, on July 9. The 5 Step System I presented is designed to smooth the way as more and more senior citizens and their concerned family members face the complex tasks and decisions required to move from a traditional family home into an Independent Living or Assisted Living community.

During the presentation and discussion of The 5 Steps to Downsizing Made Easy, we covered a variety of topics including: questions to consider before making a move, senior living options in the Georgetown area, questions for touring senior living communities, tips for hiring various professionals related to the moving process, guidance on estate sales and estate auctions, and many other pertinent topics. You can download a free copy of The 5 Steps guide here.

Attendees always provide helpful comments and reviews but one that stood out this time is my favorite — “Virginia, this class is a gift to the community — and to me personally. Thanks.” That’s why I decided to embrace working with seniors in the first place — it is an opportunity to give back to Georgetown.

Seniors and their families often don’t know which way to turn when making these important decisions related to downsizing and moving. I’m happy to share how it can be simplified and actually made relatively easy. As a Georgetown Realtor who specializes in helping senior citizens and their families with their real estate needs, this part of my job is a great joy.”

As Georgetown’s only Certified Senior Housing Professional (CSHP), I welcome your questions. Whether you attended the seminar or not, we will gladly answer your specific questions too! Just call 512.818.0988.
