Don’t Miss The Annual Lighting of the Square — Friday, November 29!

Festivities begin at 5:30 pm on the east steps of historic Williamson County Courthouse. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Entertainment will include the Austin Carolers. The highlight of the evening will be Mayor George Garver flipping the switch for the official lighting of the Courthouse and grounds. It’s a great night for family and friends to get together and celebrate the relaxed Georgetown Retirement Lifestyle.

Plan to get in some shopping — merchants stay open late!

Shops around the Square will be open from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and there will be a variety of activities including Pictures with Santa in the Williamson County Courthouse and the opportunity for children to make a Christmas Light Garland at the Williamson Museum.

While strolling around the Square, be sure to check out the window displays many downtown businesses have created for the inaugural Light Up the Square holiday lighting contest. Judge’s Choice winners will be announced by the Mayor at the lighting ceremony. Voting in the People’s Choice award competition for the best window displays will follow through December 6 with ballots available at the Visitors Center, 103 W Seventh Street.
