While housing sales across the country are showing some gains, the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos market, which includes Georgetown, was ranked No. 1 in the U.S. and was one of two Texas markets to make the top 10 list this month. The ranking was cited by Pro Teck Valuation Services which measures inventory, days on market, sales and listing activity, the ratio of sales price to list price, and foreclosures and REOs to determine the best- and worst-performing markets in the nation. The other Texas market in the top 10 was Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown.
