“Getting Your Affairs in Order” Draws Almost 100 Attendees

As you age, you find yourself confronting many complex challenges that you cannot face alone. That’s why it takes a team of professionals to help you get your affairs in order and live your life to the fullest. Do you have your team in place?

On Thursday, February 9, almost 100 seniors like you attended our seminar: “Getting Your Affairs in Order.” Addressing the importance of assembling a team of experts with experience and resources to support you, our February panel of experts included Teresa Shapiro, an Elder Law and Estate Planning Attorney with Teresa Shapiro Law, and Debbie Pearson, RN and founder of Carefor, an in-home care and case management company.

As a followup to her insights, Teresa Shapiro provided two documents for your information: The Legal Issues of Aging,  A Brief Guide to the Most Common Legal Issues Encountered by Seniors and their Families  and What Do I Do? —  A Simple Explanation of Powers of Attorney, Medical Powers of Attorney, HIPAA Authorizations, Advance Directives, Directives for Mental Healthcare and Do Not Resuscitate Forms.
