Another successful Fall Festival with friends and family was had on October 21st. Over the last 15 years in real estate I have had the pleasure of working with some wonderful people, having the opportunity to share my appreciation with them at the annual Fall Festival is always a highlight of my year. Many of the people I have met through real estate transactions have become friends and some are like family.
As is usual in October, Texas weather can be unpredictable. We have experienced torrential rain and warm, humid temperatures, this year the weather did not disappoint with warm temps in the high 80’s. Despite the warm weather we finished off the night with S’mores that were enjoyed by many. The delicious Texas BBQ and sides were prepared by my son John along with his sous chef and wife Lizzie. My daughter, Laura and her husband Jonathan helped out with preparations and serving food. My big thanks to my family for helping with the annual Fall Festival, it was truly a group effort and a special thank you to my son John for preparing all the good eats!
Lots of fun was had with the “Who Am I” name game. Some guests didn’t waste any time at all guessing their famous name and winning a free appetizer coupon from Cotton Patch! Our giveaways were a big hit, Divine Treasures, Novita Spa and the Virginia Values You Team provided gift certificates that were much appreciated by the winners of these gifts. If you haven’t visited Divine Treasures and Novita Spa on the square in Georgetown, you must check them out!
Guests brought a donation of canned goods or non-perishable grocery items for The Caring Place in Georgetown, one of our favorite charities. $200 was raised in cash and 85 pounds of food, which was delivered to The Caring Place.
Sadly the party had to come to an end but my appreciation for my friends and family will never end. As we transition into the fall and holiday season and I have an opportunity to reflect on the past year I am grateful for all the blessings my friends and family have brought me this year.
